The Baxter Seminary / Upperman High Alumni Association has selected two Upperman High School Class of 2020 graduates to receive scholarships.

The recipients are Michael (Alex) Fields and Jordan Underwood.

These awards are four-year scholarships in the amount of $16,000 ($4,000 a year) to each student.  The Association has been awarding scholarships since 1973 and has invested more than $346,000 to assist in the education of Upperman students pursuing post-secondary education.

The first Saturday in May has long been the date for the annual alumni banquet in Baxter; however, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the association had to make the difficult decision to postpone the event.  They hope to offer a new event for alumni and Upperman students at a later date.  Details will be posted on the Facebook page facebook.com/BaxterSeminary  more...
